Privacy Policy

Effective from 8 October 2026

The short version

Everything you put into Track2u stays on your phone. We never see it.

  • There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no cloud servers.
  • The app doesn’t connect to the internet, so your information never leaves your device unless you choose to share a backup file.
  • There are no adverts, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.
  • You can delete everything at any time from Settings.

Who we are

Track2u is made by Hayley Edwards, an independent developer in the United Kingdom. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the Track2u developer.

If you have a question about this policy or your privacy, email hayley@track2u.co.uk. We aim to reply within 30 days.

What Track2u stores

Track2u stores only what you enter, in a private database inside the app on your device.

WhatExamples
Your detailsA nickname and your HRT start date (both optional)
MedicationsNames, how you take them, usual dose, colour
DosesWhen you took a dose, the amount, the site (such as left thigh) and any notes
Blood testsTest names, units and your results
NotesAnything you write in the app
RemindersReminder times and how often they repeat
SettingsTheme, accent colour, app icon, app lock choices

Some of this is health information, which the law treats as especially sensitive. Because it never leaves your device, we never receive, see or process it. You are in full control of it.

What we don’t collect

We collect nothing. Track2u has:

  • no accounts or logins
  • no internet connection, servers or cloud sync
  • no analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking
  • no adverts or advertising identifiers
  • no third-party services that receive your data

We don’t sell, share or rent information, because we never have any to share.

Permissions the app asks for

Each permission is used only on your device, only for the reason below.

PermissionWhy
NotificationsTo remind you when a dose or other reminder is due
Exact alarms (Android)So reminders arrive on time rather than being delayed by the phone
Run at start-up (Android)To set your reminders again after your phone restarts
Fingerprint, face or PINTo unlock the app if you turn on App lock

App lock is checked by your phone’s own security system. Track2u never sees or stores your fingerprint, face data or PIN; it only learns whether the check passed.

You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone’s settings.

Backups and moving your data

You decide if and where your data goes.

  • Back up your data in Settings creates a file (CSV) of everything in the app. You choose where to save or send it. Once it leaves the app, it’s looked after by wherever you put it, such as your email or a cloud drive, so keep it somewhere safe.
  • Restore from a backup reads a backup file you pick. It’s never uploaded anywhere.
  • Android: Track2u opts out of Google’s automatic app backup and phone-to-phone transfer, so your data isn’t copied to your Google account. Use Back up your data to move to a new phone.
  • iPhone: iOS includes app data in your device’s own iCloud or computer backups, if you have those turned on. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

Keeping it private on your phone

Track2u includes tools to stop other people seeing your information:

  • App lock asks for your fingerprint, face or PIN to open the app, and hides its contents in the app switcher. You choose how soon it locks.
  • Discreet icons let you change the app’s icon to one that looks like an everyday app. On Android the name under the icon changes too.

Reminder notifications can show medication names on your lock screen. To hide them, change your phone’s lock screen notification settings.

Deleting your data and your rights

You can delete everything at any time with Settings → Erase all data, or by uninstalling the app. Either way it’s gone for good, as there’s no copy anywhere else.

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. As we hold none, there’s nothing for us to hand over or delete: everything is on your device, where you can view, change or erase it yourself.

If you’re unhappy with how your data is handled, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Other things to know

  • Not medical advice. Track2u is a personal record-keeping tool. It doesn’t give medical advice, and it’s not a substitute for your doctor, clinic or pharmacist.
  • Children. Track2u doesn’t collect data from anyone, including children, because nothing leaves the device.
  • Changes to this policy. If the app’s handling of data ever changes, for example if a future version adds an optional online feature, we’ll update this policy and the date at the top before that version is released.
